Tuesday 25th,2005

Here it starts my adventure! I was very excited and nervous I finally was able to make my dream come true! Everyone should believe that dreams come reality, that's what I've learned from this experience

As I arrived in Torino I got to meet my friend Isa ;-) I was so happy ot meet her after we had known each other since 2002....On tuesday I didn't have ticket for any skating event so this day passed slowly with the thought in my mind of the day after...the day of the Men Sp and Pairs LP.

Wednesday 26th,2005

The big day was finally arrived! At 12.15 AM the Men SP started! Our seats was very good and central...as I entered the arena a big emotion rushed on me...finally everything I had always dream of was there under my feet!

And the emotion was growing at the thought that in few moment I would have seen some of my favourite skaters...amongst them Evgeny Plushenko! I was eargely waiting to see him live! Before him I liked Andrei Griazev SP,also it was a pleasure seeing Tatiana Tarasova! Stephane Lambiel did a really good SP,loved his spins! he's so artistic and has an intense skating. He was 3rd after the SP.

The moment of penultimum group of skaters was finally arrived! And I started searching for Evgeny in particular! As he entered the arena I couldn't not keep my eyes off him ;-)  Brian Joubert was the second skaters to go...I was so curious to finally see him skating live....and I had a really good impression of him! His SP was perfect!..now everyone was waiting for the Russian guy to skate....I was so in tense! And I believe Evgeny was too! I noticed he looked nervous during the warm-up and before taking the ice,Brian instead looked confident.

So..the moment was finally arrived! Evgeny Plushenko is in the center of the rink...the first note of "Monnlight Sonata" begin..and I still can't believe I'm really there! Evgeny did a mistake in his opening combination landing the quad on 2 feet....I was vey surprise of that! He skated good but it wasn't the usual Evgeny Plushenko I knew...he looked tired and not focused. And that's wat he said too after his SP. So Plushenko took the second place after Joubert and before Lambiel.

As for Brian, seeing him skating live made me aprreciate him better, before, watching in tv I couldn't get his character, so I've changed my opinion about him, he's a strong willing skaters and off the ice he's very nice and kind. After the Men SP me and my firend Isa were very impressed and surprised by the result, but it was fair that way.We started wondering together what Zhenia had to do to win, becouse we wanted so much to see him on top...

The day was not over becouse at 19.00 it's time for Pairs LP!

I LOVED the pairs competition, Totmianina/Marinin was the most perfect skating I have ever seen and Pairs Medalists very emotional too . But I enjoyed watching almost all the pairs couples, I believe this is the more artisitc between all the speciality of FS. It has been so good to see Obertas/Slavnov they're a talented pairs couple ( they made a quad twist that nigt!) and also they make avery sweet couple :-) after the LP they remained for a long time in the K&C,she almost was crying for the silver medal! The medal cerimony was emotional too! It was the first time I was gong to listen the Russian Anthem!

Thursday 27th,2005

this is a day I'm not going to forget! It was the day of Men LP...and indeed it turned as a day full of surprise and emotion!!!!

In the morning we reached for the Palavela hoping to enter the practise session, but infortunately we couldn't becouse we hadn't an all event tickets...that's a lesson for next time! ;-)

So with Isa decided to go for the nearest official ISU hotel...we were oping to make our first skaters meeting....To say the truth we were oping that it was Plushenko's hotel. Only in the afternoon we would have know that Plushenko's hotel was another one......but as an italian sayng says "every impediment is a good thing" infact when we were there drinking a coffee at the hotel we noticed a beautiful red haired woman...I told Isa she looked like MARINA ANISSINA...we weren't both sure it was really her until a fan approached her! So we walked towards her asking for pics :-) She has been very nice and kind, and also she smelled so good! LOL I took a pic with her and asked for an autograph:-) That was the first meeting with a skater! And what a skater! An Olympic Gold Medalist! We lefted the hotel in avery good mood and came back to our hotel preparing for the evening...the Men LP was coming!

Before we reached the Palavela we decided to take a look to another hotel that was told it was full of skaters! And infact as we asked to the volunteer girls which skater was in the hotel they gave us a list of 4 pages! One of the girl asked if we were searching for someone in particular and I asked "Is Plushenko here?" and the girl replied "Yes". YAY! I couldn't keep my excitement! We decided we would have come back after the competition........

At 18.15 PM we got our seats for the free men programme....the excitement was growing more and more as the final group was taking the ice....the arena was all sold out that evening! The atmosphere was thrilling...

Between all the skaters I've noticed the switzerland Jamal Othman,he isn't still a great jumper but he is a very graceful and elegant skater indeed! I'm looking forward to following him in the next competition.

The moment of the final group finally arrived!I got closer to the board to follow the skaters better and also to take some photos. Again as the previous day I was only focused on Evgeny Plushenko,I notoced he really was keeping his concentration, many fans cheered for him but he only was focused on his warm-up.

Brian Joubert was the first skater of the group to go.The reigning European Champion 2004 made a good program, his combination opening first was a quad-toe-triple toe landed perfectly. Since the beginning Brian was competing at his best,he looked very confident and his step sequence catched the crowd attention.

Sthephane Lambiel came for second to the ice.I really loved his LP! I admire this skater a lot! Ha has an inner talent and personal interpretation of music that differentiate him from the other, not to mention his amazing spins! But judjes haven't been fair on matching his LP.He got the second place after Brian but me and the crowd ( expecially the very "folkloristic" switzerland fans)didn't approve the score.....

After Kevin Van Der Perren it was the turn of the Russian Andrei Griazev. He skated to the wonderful music of Peter Gabriel "Passion". He did too the quad toe-lup as Brian and Sthephane, and I liked his interpretation and jumps tecnic, also he's growing and getting more confidence on ice. Andrei was placed after Lambiel.

Finally it was the moment of Evgeny Plushenko! Since he entered the ice,yet during Andrei was still in the K&C waiting for his scores ,the crowd, and expecially the Russian crowd was cheering him. But again Evgeny was focusing and keeping his mental concentration.

The silence ....then the music of Edvin Marton "Godfather" started....Evgeny opened the program with a wonderful quad-toe,triple-toe,double-lutz combination! I got to see it just in front of my eyes...and I still can see it perfectly landed! The music suddenly catches the crowd who follows Evgeny in all his movements. The jumps are not perfect but this is not important becouse the interpretation and steps sequence are amazing!! I was really impressed by the change of Evgeny's actitued on ice since the previous day....Now he was the Evgeny Plushenko I had knew! Evgeny the fighter! The circular step sequence of Evgeny was SUPREME! All his body was on only thing with the music! I got crazy for this LP!! The look in Evgeny's eyes at the end of the program showed all his will to take the gold medal back!!

And he did it! Evgeny gets his gold medal back! He's the european 2005 champion!

Stephan Lindeman was the last skater to go. I must admit after Evgeny's LP I couldn't really concentrate on Lindeman! But surprise!! becouse Lindeman made a good LP that allowed him to take the third place! I wasn't expecting this result at all! Not even the crowd and Lindeman him-self! I believe he's a good jumper but in my opinion lacks of interpretation...I would have preferred much more Lambiel to get the third place. But that is.

Evgeny during the Medal CerimonyThe evening is going to end but there's still the Medal Cerimony! Evgeny finally looked relaxed and also  so proud of him-self... and so I was! The skaters made the last turn around the rink ,they looked very happy all the three! And me and the italian crowd was cheering them very aloud!

And so it was the end of this amazing competition,I'll never forget the atmosphere I was living at the arena while Evgeny was skating his "Godfather"! Everyone was cheering so aloud for him! I had no doubt Evgeny was going to be the best!

We slowly got out of the Palavela,I was really happy and excited! But the night was not over! We got back to the skaters hotel...we were really hoping to meet someone of them!

As we entered the hotel we got to see some skaters! The first I noticed was the Switzer Jamal Otman! and since I remained very impressed by his skating he was the first skater I asked for the autograph and pics :) He was very kind and looked very happy!

We waited for a more long time...almost an hour while other skters came back from the Palavela.....we were almost loosing our hope to see someone of our favourite and of the medalist.....But just like we were giving up here he comes Andrei Griazev! He was very quiet and calm,I took a photo with him and got my autograph (very nice signature!) Andrei was listening to the music from the headphones and the funny thing is that the volume was so aloud that I could listen the music my self! LOL

Again a long waiting to finally meet the medalist skaters!

Brian Joubert came and he was very smiling, he wasn't disapoointed at all of getting the silver medal! He said to us he needed to leave his baggaes in his room then he would have came back to us....

While we were waiting for Brian to come back here he comes Evgeny Plushenko!!! WOW! My heart started run faster as he suddenly was surrounded by a lot of fans! And I was there too!I still couldn't believe it! Evgeny was very polite with his fans, very kind and calm. I took my pic whit him!! I was smiling so nervously LOL then I got my autograph! I will always treat it as a precious gift, Thank you winnersEvgeny! Then I was also "brave" enough to ask him a kiss!! Everything started 'couse I saw some Japanise fans hugging Evgeny and I was like ....why not me? So I don't know how ....but I went there in front of him and asked "One kiss?" It lasted one second LOL actually I believe he was expecting ONE only kiss but I touched his other cheeck too! ehehe ;-)
Then I came back to where my friends were..and they both were loocking at me like " You really have done it!!????" And I didn't understand anything anymore!!
What a night! THANK YOU EVGENY! YOU MADE MY DAY!!

Brian came back!He looked very relaxed! Took a pic with him (wow! he was holding me so thight!) and autograph again! He's a so nice guy!

Then also Stehane Lambiel came! He looked a bit disappointed as he entered the hotel, and I undertand him. But then he was very kind on taking pics with us! He's really a nice guy! I whish him all the best and to get everything he deserves!

Then we remained in the hotel's hall for a long time while there were skaters almost everywere...and they were all celebrating and drinking! What an atmosphere! it was like we were all a group of friends! My friends celebrated drinking something...I didn't drink anything but I was feeling drunk all the same! LOL It has been a so exciting night that I'll never forget!!

I want to thanks all the Skaters I met for having being so kind and for the big emotions they made me live that night and during the competitions! THANKS SO MUCH!!

This new experience gave me a lot of energy, teached me that "we must fight to realize our dream"
